Salary; £28,000 (pro rata)

Hours: 30 per week

We are looking for someone who can develop and maintain strong relationships and connections with the external community including but not limited to; Herts County Council, other Hospices, local charity neighbours, other voluntary organisations, schools, business groups, Locality Boards, community groups, cultural groups, geographical groups, faith & non-faith communities with a targeted work with specific groups in the area of ‘reaching more people’ aligned with Rennie Grove Peace Population Based Needs Assessment (PBNA) work.

You will be responsible for producing evidence to demonstrate our impact as a local charity using KPI’s and outcome data. In line with the wider workplan and strategy while working alongside the Compassionate Communities work.

You will need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas:

- To maximise quality relationships with external community groups and identify ways of reaching more people, raising the profile of Rennie Grove Peace in the local community. This will include collaboration and involvement in various community initiatives and attendance at Locality Board meetings, Partnership board meetings and other external meetings/events as required by the Engagement team.
- To lead on the delivery of a Community Engagement plan in liaison with the Community Engagement Manager and the Compassionate Communities team.
- To work with all departments across the hospice to gather information and identify opportunities to achieve the Community Engagement objectives.
- Support Community Engagement Manager to scope and develop external community partnerships, and collaborative opportunities that share costs, increase income or assess potential service developments or efficiencies.
- You’ll be based in Peace Hospice, Watford but this role requires to work out in the community, work across our offices in Tring and St Albans.
