**Sales Co-ordinator**

**Location**: The Athenaeum - Angel Hill Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 1LU

**Days of work**:Monday - Friday (Some weekends dependent on events)

**Hours**:8:30 am - 5:30 pm

**Holiday**:28 days pro rata including bank holidays per annum

**Salary**:£24,000 pa

We are currently looking for someone to use their personality and sales skills to convert incoming enquiries for two great venues The Athenaeum & Apex.

**The role**

You will be based at Athenaeum but also looking after The Apex (a short walk away).

You will talk to the client as they enquire, put together a tailored quote for them, take them on site visits around both venues and put together all final details ready to hand over to our Event Manager.

**Duties and Tasks**

**CUSTOMER CONTACT**
- Effectively communicate with clients to gain commitment to purchase The Athenaeum and Apex products.
- Effectively communicate with clients via telephone, face-to-face and written communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships which benefits The Athenaeum and Apex.

**SALES SKILLS**
- Upselling where possible to maximise revenue from all events.
- Confidence to call lapsed clients to gain more business from them.

**RESEARCH AND DATABASE**
- Maintain an accurate and current database. (Using Crown Connector)

**ENQUIRY HANDLING**
- Effectively employ sales skills to confirm profitable enquiries.
- Take accurate enquiry details from client in accordance with the Crown Partnership SOP Manual.
- Maintain an effective chase and tracking system for enquiries to confirmation or release stage.
- Evaluate and grade enquiries for profitability/suitability.
- To produce all contracts and deposit invoices for the department, and maintain an effective chase system to get these back from clients.
- Effectively communicate function details and client requirements to operations team.

**DIARY MANAGEMENT**
- Effectively manage venue diary to ensure optimum profitability of operation

**INTERNAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS**
- Liaise with other members of The Athenaeum and Apex sales teams to actively promote sales opportunities, exchange information and increase professionalism.

**PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE**
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of The Athenaeum and Apex.
- Be able to match appropriate The Athenaeum and Apex products to clients' requirements.
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to highlight their disadvantages and promote relevant The Athenaeum and Apex products.
- Keep abreast of competitor activity and recommend any necessary tactical action.

**ADMINISTRATION**
- Plan diary to make effective use of working day. (Individual and team diaries)
