**Role Description**:

- Provide Electrical skills in support of the site facilities and assets.
- Respond to plant breakdowns as required to diagnose and resolve faults of an instrumentation or electrical nature.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are entered into the CMMS system, ensuring that job records are completed timely, with all the required detail, and updating information as required such as spares holding.
- Provide support to Utilities Supervisor in delivering an effective maintenance program.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, as per the CMMS schedule, which includes safety critical instrumentation testing.
- Active involvement in improvement projects/initiatives.
- Work as part of a team to deliver improvements in safety, quality and performance.
- Trained in all aspects of Utilities operations (training will be provided).
- To contribute to the improvement of a safe environment/general housekeeping of the working area, particularly in their own area of responsibility.
- Complies with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc. applicable to the role.
- Operate/maintain plant equipment in order to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Some roles may be of a very manual nature and may require Control Panel Operations.
- Provide a detailed handover log to provide sufficient information to the oncoming shift team to continue safe and efficient operation.

**Flexibility**:

- Flexibility exists across the operational area and will be a continued requirement even though the current gap may be specific to a certain shift, individuals may be required to work on other shifts when the business requires them to do so.

**Key Requirements & Skills**:

- Knowledge of good maintenance systems and methods in the respective core trade.
- A good understanding of Electrical Systems, associated hazards, and basic safety requirements.
- Proven ability to deliver work to high quality and prescribed timescales.
- Have experience working on process plants ideally in the Nuclear, Chemical or oil and gas industry.
- Good communication skills and team working is required as part of a flexible team.
- The individual must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to operations.
- Prepared to work flexibly across all areas within Utilities.
- High standards and expectations in their approach to work.
- Provide evidence of being self-motivated.
- Evidence of being a team player but also able to work without direct supervision.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Good knowledge of operating a chemical facility and monitoring plant parameters through a SCADA would be beneficial.
- Experienced in using a computerised maintenance management system, such as Maximo.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Completed a recognised Electrical and/or Instrumentation maintenance apprenticeship and have attained NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
