Programme Officer

Islamic Aid is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Programme Officer. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in contributing to all aspects of our work, encompassing marketing, fundraising, project management, and the strategic utilization of new and emerging technologies. As a Programme Officer, you will have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by implementing and managing impactful programmes that align with Islamic Aid's mission and objectives, ultimately transforming the lives of those in need.
**Responsibilities**:
**1. Programme Management**:
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of various programmes and projects.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and efficient project execution.
- Contribute to the development of programmatic strategies, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
**2. Marketing and Fundraising**:
- Support marketing initiatives, including the development of promotional materials, online campaigns, and fundraising events.
- Assist in donor engagement activities, including donor communication, stewardship, and recognition.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to support Islamic Aid's programmes and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across various platforms.
**3. Research and Analysis**:
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the humanitarian and development sector.
- Analyze data and insights to inform decision-making and enhance program effectiveness.
- Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities for incorporating new technologies into Islamic Aid's work.
**4. Project Reporting and Documentation**:
- Prepare timely and accurate project reports, documenting progress, challenges, and impact.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
**5. Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with various teams within Islamic Aid to ensure effective coordination and integration of activities.
- Support cross-functional projects and initiatives, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive organizational success.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance processes and improve outcomes.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, marketing, business administration, IT, economics etc) or equivalent.
- Project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using technology platforms and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data for decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Empathy with the mission, goals, and values of Islamic Aid, and a commitment to supporting the organization's objectives.
**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year
