**Job summary**:

- The Green Finance and Capability team leads the policy and programming aspects of International Climate Finance (ICF) for capability and capacity building. It focusses on accelerating progress towards global net zero by helping developing countries plan and build capability to implement their transition and catalysing an increase in global climate finance flows. The team is responsible for capability building policy and co-ordination across the ICF portfolio in line with international agreements and through active participation in international coordination mechanisms as well as delivery of a portfolio of over 15 programmes.-
**Job description**:

- Programme officer: Country and Cross-HMG engagement support_
- Lead and maintain internal and external communications materials and support ad-hoc requests for information on programmes from stakeholders.
- Lead on the dissemination of knowledge products across all three programmes, increase the reach of NDCP and UK PACT within HMG and externally.
- Provide event support for all three programmes, including drafting briefings and speeches for ministers and seniors.

NDCP:
- Working closely with the programme management, monitoring, evaluation and learning officer to support engagement and decision making on use of the UK’s funds to support NDC Partnership membership countries.
- Liaise with the NDC Partnership Support Unit to ensure that UK work and interests are included in their strategies and communications.
- Participate in NDCP country engagement meetings to ensure UK interests are represented.

UK PACT:
- Represent DESNZ in UK PACT priority country engagement, including regular governance and strategy meetings. Ensure information flows are maintained and synergies identified between other DESNZ ICF programmes operating in those geographies.
- Maintain strong links between DESNZ domestic teams and the FCDO UK PACT team, including support on co-ordination of public-sector skill-share opportunities.

2050 Calculator:
- Field incoming requests for support from British Embassy and High Commission teams at Post and partner governments.
- Programme officer: Programme management and monitoring, evaluation and learning support_
- Supporting programme and financial management for UK PACT, 2050 Calculator, and the UK contribution to NDC Partnership.
- Working closely with the country engagement programme officer to support engagement and decision making on use of the UK’s funds to support NDC Partnership membership countries.
- Work with internal Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning analysts to capture results and lessons learnt across all three programmes.
- Where relevant, manage delivery partners and commission monitoring, evaluation and learning research.
- Lead on drafting annual reviews, ICF results notes, programme closure reports and other reporting.
- Lead on disseminating lessons learnt across the ICF portfolio and more broadly, in the international development community
