To be responsible for the collation, collection and inputting of the patient activity data required to monitor and quality assure spinal services in the trust.

Also to carry out all administrative duties, in relation to the Spine Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings (MDT) and ensuring appropriate records are maintained.

To prospectively track the patient pathway using the Tracking and Escalation procedure.

**Main responsibilities are**:
**MDT Role**:

- Preparing 2 spinal MDTs a week. Managing referrals to MDT, image transfer requests, correspondence between referrer and MDT.
- Organising MDT meetings, room bookings, invites, attendance etc.
- Attending the MDTs and recording minutes
- Distributing outcomes to referring teams
- Keep database of referred cases and outcomes up to date
- Line manage Spinal PROMS Co-ordinator and BSR data collection staff
- Work closely with the spinal consultants, spinal teams, outpatient team and wider NMSK team

**Spinal Network Role**:

- Organise network meetings throughout the year, including invites, attendance, venue bookings
- Record minutes for all network meetings
- Be a point of contact for network stakeholders and members
- Manage data collection process, requesting data from network members and presenting reports within key timeframes
- Manage the network website
- Keeping action/issue log up to date
- Working closely with the network manager on delivering the regional networks annual work plan
- The post holder is to be based at Southmead and some home working will be required.

The job involves periods of effort requiring intensive concentration.

The post holder will be required to spend a large portion of their working day using a PC.

A certain degree of manual handling is involved in the physical pulling and carrying of patients notes.

The post holder will be constantly dealing with data for surgical patients, which, at times, can become emotionally draining.
