An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Neurosurgery department for a band 4 administrator/MDT Coordinator.

This is a full time, band 4, permanent post working in the advanced nurse practitioners team. You will be responsible for providing admin support to the team, maintaining databases, audits and reports, as well as being responsible for the management, running and out coming of the Neuro-Vascular MDT.
- To provide administration and audit support for the Division as requested by manager. This may be in the form of database management, data inputting, audit data collection and report formation. Support NPAC Assistant practitioner with NPAC duties.
- Be aware of the Trust’s 4 values
- Work within the Trust policies, guidelines and protocols related to the role
- Ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Be able to problem solve or pass on issues that are highlighted by patients
- Develop a working relationship with the NNP team, Consultants, secretaries and admin staff to develop the smooth running of the service
- Be able to plan, manage and execute own workload efficiently without direct supervision
- EROS ordering, stock monitoring and invoice tracking
- Secretarial support for the NNP team. ANP team annual leave administration
- Collate and prepare NPAC attendance figures and record ANP ad-hoc telephone calls
- Be familiar with hospital administration systems and to undertake training in new systems as required such as E-rostering
- To undertake and assist in general clerical duties as required
- Take and circulate minutes of meetings
- Maintain databases for the NNP team, NPAC attendance and patient feedback monitoring

- Contact, both via telephone and face-to-face, with carers or patients who may be emotionally upset and may present in challenging ways, and with health care professionals. Tact and effective communication may be required to defuse emotionally charged situations.
- Requirement to be flexible to support the core working hours required by the department to deliver the service

- Produce data and statistics for annual reports
- To undertake any other duties, as directed by the ANNP, NNP team, GM or AGM, commensurate with the post grade.
- Type letters generated by the NNP service. Check work and ensure accuracy where possible. Liaise with NNP team appropriately
- Be trustworthy and corporate and able to follow events through using excellent communication skills
- Surgical site infection surveillance database management and patient liaison. Liaise with ANNPs as appropriate
- Report creation, audit, database creation and updating for neurovascular, NF2 and skull base service
- To provide administrative facilitation to MDT meetings, including preparing, organising and circulating agendas/lists of patients for discussion and ensuring MDT runs as smoothly as possible to reach the full potential in discussing all patients. This may include live secretary support to meetings and use of video conferencing and other IT equipment.
- To record attendance at and apologies for team members accurately and to circulate appropriately to ensure compliance with service standards.
