**Salary**: £38,000 - £45,000 DOE

**Role**:6 Month Temp Contract (Possibility to go Perm)

**Hours**:Mon - Thurs 8.30am-5pm / Fri 8.30am - 3.45pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the HR administrator.
- Working closely with all departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
- Interpret and advise on employment law, any relevant new legislation and how it may impact the business.
- Develop, implement, and update policies on issues such as performance management, equal opportunities, working conditions, disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures and absence ensuring all our procedures comply with current legislation and practice.
- Advise and assist in all grievance and disciplinary matters.
- Advise and assist senior managers in redundancy, retirement, and dismissal situations.
- Maintain updates to the company handbook and other policy documentation.
- Manage and monitor the attendance management system (Kronos) assisting directors and managers to resolve any short term or long-term sickness issues.
- Oversee the extraction of Payroll information from Kronos.
- Work with line managers to develop HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements.
- Work with line managers administering the company appraisal scheme and analysing any training needs.
- Planning and sometimes delivering training including inductions for all new staff.
- Planning and sometimes delivering training including inductions for all new staff. Work with H&S and Managers on development of new content for LMS (My Workbench) and maintain course attendance.
- Maintain all historical Human Resource records, past and present.
- Administer the company group life scheme.
- Manage and administer the company health scheme.
- Maintain and develop the employee benefit programmes.
- Manage and ensure data protection principles are adhered to at all times.
- Conduct and analyse exit interviews recommending any changes required.
- Work in conjunction with the Finance Director with the administration of the company pension schemes.
- Work in conjunction with our out-sourced payroll company and Finance Director with the administering of our monthly payrolls; advising on pay and other remuneration issues including promotion, benefits and maintaining employee records.
- Undertake regular salary and sickness reviews.
- Organise all company events and functions.
**Essential Skills**
- A minimum of three years' work experience within a HR environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to forge effective working relationships with people at all levels.
- Integrity and approachability, as managers and staff must feel able to discuss sensitive and confidential issues with you.
- A curiosity and a willingness to challenge organisational culture where necessary.
- Influencing and negotiating skills to implement personnel policies.
- Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
- The company uses Workday (HR system), Kronos (Time and attendance), ADP payroll.
