Quality Outcomes Coordinator

**The job holder will provide**: Administrative support and clinical data collection to support consultants/ surgeons within the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic hospital. Support to the Quality Outcomes Manager in ensuring that the Quality Outcomes unit operates efficiently and meets the information needs of the Trust. Coordinate National and Local PROMs work within the Trust. Organise the Quality Outcomes team to ensure that activities are coordinated with clinic and consultant requirements enabling conformance with NHS England.
Undertake the training of the Quality Outcomes staff to ensure that NHS England demands, and requirements are understood and met. Ensure that the Quality Outcomes Unit provides a sustainable and cost-effective resource for audit, research, patient support, outcomes and service improvement. The transfer of information between the Trust and Quality Health, in the case of National PROMs is complex and the post holder will be required to assess, define, agree and implement regular systems updates to comply with changing requirements. The amount of information received is exceptionally high and analysing and interpreting the complex information makes a heavy demand and requires a high level of concentration over a prolonged period.
Ensuring that all data is collected and evaluated correctly and securely. Producing reports for the divisions to show progress on patient outcomes. To provide regular reports and updates on the progress of PROMs and assist the Quality Outcomes Manager in producing PROMs reports as requested. Responsibilities: Preparation & collation of information Collect data and score forms from outpatient and pre-op clinics; Collect data from posted follow-up questionnaires relating to trials, studies and audits involving surgeons at the RJAH and/ or the Quality Outcomes unit; Complete data entry of information collected from theatre, clinic and follow-up score forms on the relevant databases; Ensure the regular collection of forms from Outpatients and Theatre; Follow-up incomplete forms; Monitor statistics of returned score forms and take action as appropriate; Print out various reports for clients and clinical staff on a regular basis; Working within standard operating procedures to complete assessments of clinics to ensure outcome scores are captured appropriately.
Maintain the quality (accuracy and completeness) of the data collection and follow-up where required. Assist with user and acceptance testing of new software Administration Maintain sufficient quantities of score forms in Outpatients and the Outcomes Unit; Ensure the regular dispatch of follow-up score forms to patients; Ensure the regular dispatch of PROMs score forms to the Department of Health and Maintain the Offices filing system. Assist with the preparation of procedure documents. Contact with clients, customers, suppliers or patients Liaise with clients and patients to resolve queries and to ascertain information/reporting requirements; Attend meetings with clients; and Attend Clinic to answer patient queries and to assist patients complete score forms.
Communication & consultation with staff & superiors Liaise with staff and superiors to resolve queries and to ascertain information/ reporting requirements (including representatives of the RJAH Executive Board, Quality Outcomes Manager, Consultants, Registrars, and other clinical and administrative staff); and Attend meetings with clinical and administrative staff. Organise clinic attendance rotas for Quality Outcomes department staff. Organise and present staff briefings when appropriate Act as a filter for incoming task requests to the department logging incoming requests and forwarding to the relevant team. Monitor stationery to maintain adequate supplies, ordering equipment and goods.
Other Duties Other lawful and appropriate duties as requested by the Quality Outcomes Manager, the Operations Manager or the Medical Director, and also by the Governance Manager or the Quality & Safety Matron if operational priorities permit.
