Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school located in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEND, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum and reach their academic potential.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies tailored to the needs of each student.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
- Collaborate with other members of the school staff, including SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), to ensure the individual needs of students are met effectively.
- Help students develop essential life skills and promote their independence and confidence.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with SEND, preferably within an educational setting.
- A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND (desirable but not essential).
