**What’s in the role and what are we looking for?**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join the Homeware Buying team on a temporary basis to cover maternity, up to a maximum of 12 months.

The individual will work closely with the Buyer and Assistant Buyer and be responsible for day to day administrative tasks. Ensuring they are completed accurately and on time to support the smooth running of the department.

**Some of the key responsibilities includes**:

- Liaise with suppliers to ensure all paperwork is completed & submitted on time.
- Working to deadlines, create and update internal documentation accurately and communicate completion to the wider team.
- The end to end management of samples & supplier images - including:

- Logging, ticketing and packing of samples. / Filing of Images
- Communicating regular sample tracker updates, both internally and externally
- Providing colour samples to internal departments as required
- Keeping the sample room in an orderly manner
- Responsible for the diary planning of key meetings and activities across the department & ensuring all relevant resources are booked/available and support is given in preparation of the meetings.
- Monitor competitor activity, including the updating and maintenance of competitor price basket documents
- Review website new product set up at each new launch & communicate any issues internally.
- Enjoy working as a team and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to ad hoc, one off jobs.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Display accuracy and be thorough when inputting data and checking information.
- Have excellent organisational skills and have a good eye for detail.
- Experience of Microsoft systems, particularly excel and outlook.
