**Job Coach Mentor**

**£22,210.50 FTE plus Car allowance £1,353 pro rata for term time only**

Are you someone with a creative flare? Do you enjoy and have an interest in sublimation projects? We are looking for a Job Coach Mentor to support the development and running of our Projects within Devon including, Positively Unique and Cottage Café.

**Who we are**

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with special educational needs (SEN) learning disabilities and mental health needs. We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.

**Who we need**

Our Supported Employment service require a number of enthusiastic and committed individuals to support the education of students on the Post 16 Programme of Study/Supported Internship programme. This programme is for young people 16 - 24 living in Devon who have and Education Healthcare Plan (EHCP) and is funded by the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Adult Education.

Delivery of the programme can be across Devon. Delivery of the programme is through a mix of education and work related activity both 1:1 and group work.

**Making it Happen - Your role**
- The role of the Job Coach Mentor is to support young people in realising their aspirations to participate in work related activities, and facilitate individuals’ progression into paid work, through volunteering, education and training, work experience and other routes.
- The mentor will work flexibly across all key stages, work with individuals on 1:1 basis or very small groups under the direction of the Service Manager.
- Working with challenging young people and helping them develop will be key so you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- You will follow a bespoke timetable and will build positive relationships with the young person to promote interaction and a constructive learning environment.
- The successful applicant will join a dynamic, enthusiastic team, totally committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable young people.
