Sports Coach/PE Teacher

A special needs school is looking to appoint an inspiring sports coach to deliver vocational skills and engaging PE lessons for students aged 4 - 16. This role is suitable for an experienced sports coach or a qualified PE teacher.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver PE related activities to encourage students physical and mental wellbeing
- Foster a love for learning and equip students with the knowledge of how to lead healthy and active lifestyles
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of the students
- Prepare lesson resources to support learning
- Working closely with support staff and SLT
- Manager behaviour effectively to create a positive and safe learning environment
About you:
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching PE is essential
- Must be confident, resilient and patient
- Previous experience working with students with additional needs is desirable, particularly SEMH difficulties
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
