The nursery is managed in partnership with the Daisy Pre-school, a sessional pre-school, which is based at the Daisy Play Centre in Bridgetown, Totnes. Daisy and Rainbow Childcare have a strong ethos towards allowing a child to explore, play and learn through open ended play resources which allows creativity and a strengthening of a positive self-image. We know that a child’s family and the environment they live in will shape the child, so we are keen to get to know the family and work with them as closely as possible. The children all play together regardless of their age to enable the younger children to learn from the older children and to encourage care for each other.

You will be working under the direction of the Under 3s Team Lead to support play experiences for our children. You will enjoy singing, building blocks, getting messy, sharing stories, spending time outside at play and you will be happy to have a phone conversation with a child with a banana pressed up to your ear We will ask you to take the lead with organising our lunch areas - tidying toys away, sweeping, setting up tables and chairs, bringing the food to table from our cook, joining in with conversations with our littlies, then wiping down, sweeping and re-setting up for play.
