Our Claims team are growing

Our policy sales are rocketing so we need to expand our Claims function to meet with demand and ensure all our customers receive a consistent, faultless service

We are looking for both experienced Claims Handlers and those who are looking for their next career within the insurance industry. We are offering the opportunity to undergo full training and development with no prior claims handling experience.

If our customer has had an accident where they are at fault or there is a liability dispute, this is where you’ll come in as a Claims Handler, liaising with third parties to negotiate and agree liability and/or quantum, generating the best outcome possible for our customer and Somerset Bridge Group.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Investigate and proactively manage your own caseload.
- Provide excellent customer service and negotiate with insurers and solicitors on liability and quantum.
- Achieve cost efficient conclusions.
- Ability to identify any potential fraud using the fraud indicators.
- Build strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.

**Required Skills/Experience**:

- Previous experience in handling motor claims is desirable but not essential.
- Be prepared to undertake a Personal Development Plan in all aspects of Third Party Claims Handling.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised with ability to prioritise your workload.
