Finance Administrator

**Company***

With a focus on growing strongly in the coming years, Nova is now looking for a Finance Administrator who will be responsible for all aspects of company bookkeeping.

**Responsibility***

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of company bookkeeping including managing the company’s Sage accountancy package, VAT returns, bank reconciliation, liaising with customers, preparing figures for monthly group reporting, producing trial balances and profit and loss accounts.

**Reporting Line**

**Main Tasks**
- Posting all bank transactions daily. Ensuring statements and reminders are sent as required.
- Updating purchases and posting payments to suppliers. Month end posting of all journals and preparing accounts to trial balance.
- Reporting to group head office monthly.
- Preparing all management reports for directors as required.
- Assisting with end of financial year audit
- Completing and filing VAT returns
- Credit control

**Requirements/ Qualification***
- Completed studies or comparable training and at least 3 years of professionally relevant experience in finance.
- Good knowledge and experience of working with Sage - 2-3 years of experience with Sage is preferable.
- Hands-on mentality: The passion to make a difference in an innovative, authentic, and down-to-earth environment.
- The competence to work independently.
- Being comfortable with challenging the status quo.

Language Fluent English skills are an absolute requirement.

**Hours***

The standard hours would be 8:30am until 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am until 3pm on a Friday but the successful applicant may be able to work in a more flexible manner with the agreement of the Directors.

**Location***

Fenwick, Ayrshire but some home working would be possible.

Salary £30,000 - £32,000 - depending on experience.
