**We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to work in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).**

**Location: Northampton**

**Hours: 37.5 Per week**

**Salary: £24,000 per annum**

**Working together with young people and their families.**

Our CAMHS is a Trauma Informed Care Service, ensuring that everything we do is driven by an understanding of how trauma affects the whole person; physically, mentally and socially. We provide low and medium secure Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient services, with theobjective of enabling young people to live well and to their full potential in the least restrictive environment possible.

We work in partnership with a number of NHS, voluntary, educational and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcareservices, education and research that helps to improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.

**A bit more about the role**

You will join a specialist psychology team. Duties are varied and will assist Qualified Psychologists in psychological and behavioural assessments of patient needs, offering group and individual therapy sessions based on DBT, CBT and psycho educational models,maintaining research databases, carrying out clinical audits, delivering staff training. Our psychology team plays a key role in service delivery and development, with research being a key activity with academic publications and presentations at national andinternational conferences.

**A bit more about you**

You should have a minimum of an upper second class honours degree in psychology and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society. You will have either previous experience of working within a multi-profession team in a clinicalsetting or a relevant post graduate qualification are very welcome.

You should be very competent in computer skills, research methods, have high levels of literacy and numeracy, and have great interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience and interest in working within services for young people is advantageous,but not essential.
