This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced admin assistant to join the award-winning Grounded Research team within Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS Trust.

The successful post-holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Research Governance Manger.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 3 Admin Assistant who wants to participate and contribute to providing excellent Research Governance oversight to the Grounded Research team. Research governance experience is not essential, training will be provided.

The work is challenging and varied and a valuable addition to the post-holder’s professional development. In return for this commitment we will support and develop your potential and skills through regular supervision and personal development.

The Post
- Provide a confidential, quality administrative service.
- Support the running of the research governance function, ensuring all assigned tasks are covered on a day to day basis.
- General administration including typing & document creation using Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
- Facilitation of meetings including taking notes & producing minutes, ensuring accurate records of attendance are kept & timely dissemination of agendas & meetings papers.
- Assist with research administration processes including setting up research site files, updating Edge database records, running reports, ensuring documentation for research projects is updated following amendments.
- Implement appropriate records management procedures in line with Trust policies & ensure these are adhered to for both paper & electronic records & archiving is carried out in a confidential & timely manner.
- Liaise between the Grounded Research Team, clinical staff & other multi-agency partners, dealing with conflict appropriately & escalating as necessary.
- Support the continual review of administration systems & processes to ensure quality. Adapt & implement changes & updates where needed to meet the teams’ needs.

The post holder will be aligned to the research governance work of the Grounded Research Team & will provide comprehensive administrative, clerical support to the governance agenda.
