An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Head Office in Newport for a part time HR Assistant.

**What you will be doing..**

Your daily duties will include:

- Completing administrative onboarding tasks; sending offer letters, contracts and completing identity checks etc. Updating/maintaining our HR system (IRIS HR) and informing payroll of new starter information.
- Coordinating with the IT Department to order/setup company equipment ready for new starters first day.
- Welcoming new starters to the organisation; supporting the H&S Department to complete company inductions.
- Supporting the H&S Department and other Department Managers to identify and arrange training; including sourcing training providers and coordinate training days.
- Implementing and managing apprentice and trainee programmes; meeting with learners regularly ensuring they are progressing well.
- Completing off boarding administrative tasks; arranging exit interviews, ensuring the return of company property, updating systems and payroll.
- Note taking at meetings (investigations, disciplinaries, grievances etc.).
- Any other tasks which may be required of the HR Assistant.

**What we are looking for..**
- You should have previous experience working in a similar role.
- Be enthusiastic about HR and look for ways to continuously improve processes within the Department.
- Proficient in using HR systems, preferably IRIS HR or similar systems.
- Good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- You will ideally hold a minimum of a CIPD Level 3 or training towards.
- You must be willing to travel to our other sites/events (career events, colleges etc.) on occasions.
