Hargrave Hall Community Centre is looking to appoint a community centre administrator with the responsibility for the day to day operation of the centre. It is a pivotal role, ensuring a vibrant and well managed facility for the benefit of local residents and organisations.

The Centre is an self funded community facility managed by Hargrave Hall Community Association which is a registered charity.

The Centre is currently used by a number of local groups on a weekly or monthly basis and local residents on the weekends.

Working under the guidance of the Trustees the community centre administrator will be running the booking system and keeping an eye on the finances.

The successful applicant will be given considerable autonomy with regards to the day to day running and will need to be well organised, self motivated and flexible in their working methods. The applicant will need to be computer literate to manage online bookings and accounts and be confident with being the public face of the Centre, therefore good interpersonal skills are also extremely important.

Role Duties are indicated below:

- Arrange and show potential clients around and answer queries before the event to ensure they run smoothly, including ensuring the caretaker is aware of all bookings.
- Maintaining online booking system with scheduling and information
- Administer (using QuickBooks) all invoices and recording payments of all bills and invoices for all good and services provided by the Centre.
- To liaise with caretaker and cleaner to ensure all areas are maintained and cleaned.

The core skills for this role are people skills and we are looking for someone to really bring the centre to life. The person appointed is likely to have a good number of the following skills or experiences:

- Confident, self motivated, innovative and able to work under pressure
- Highly organised and self-reliant with administrative tasks and timekeeping
- Able to prioritise task and adapt to changing needs
- A professional attitude and approach with excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of and interest in the local community

Initial 12 month contract with expectation to become permanent.

Hours equivalent to 16 hours per week worked on a mutually agreeable schedule between Monday to Friday 10:00 to 20:00

Fully Office based. This role has no home based work option.

Annual Salary: £11,648 (FTE £27,300)
