About us
St. Hilda’s East has been working for the local community of Tower Hamlets and beyond for 130 years. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds and offer a wide programme of activities.

These include advice services, youth projects, support for parents and pre-school children, work with older people, women’s projects and volunteering placements.

The core of the charity is a community centre with a hall, offices and social spaces which are used by the charity’s many projects and are let out to the public. We also let out office space and self-contained units to tenants in the charities, educational and creative sectors.
About the Role
The Finance Administrator will carry out day-to-day financial administration, collating and submitting invoices, creating invoices for customers, petty cash management and basic office duties.

This position is Maternity cover for a period of 6months, with possibility of extension

This is a part-time position - 22.5 hours per week - based at our Shoreditch offices.

**Reporting To**: Director, Head of Operations

**Workplace**: St. Hilda’s East, Club Row, Shoreditch

**Salary**: £14,400 - £15,600 (£24,000 - £26,000 P.A. 0.6 FTE)

**Hours**: 22.5 hours per week. Flexibility on working hours can be discussed.
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Scanning and uploading invoices to cloud storage
- Creating and processing invoices for tenancy and casual hire customers
- Submit payroll information to accountants on a monthly basis
- Adding payments to our online banking system
- Manage enquiries relating to payments, payroll etc
- Correspondence with customers and staff
- Administer petty cash for the office and the food coop
- Other office duties as required

**Essential skills/attributes**
- Numerate, and able to work accurately
- Strong administration skills
- Good IT skills - able to use Microsoft Office, Windows etc.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- A good team player. Able to effectively coordinate with/manage others
- Ability to manage own time and to deliver to tight time scales
- Ability to prioritise tasks in an organised manner
- Right to work in the UK

**Desirable Skills and Abilities**
- Experience of using QuickBooks
- Bengali speaker
