**Are you a looking for an exciting new opportunity?**

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Administrator to support the Management Team in the delivery of first-class primary healthcare services to the practice patient population.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday. You must be flexible with your hours to enable any cover required between our core hours 8am - 6.30pm.

**Key Points**

**Post Overview**:
The general purpose of the post, includes, but is not limited to:

- To work closely and support the Practice Manager/management team in all aspects of practice functionality
- To work as part of the Admin/Reception Team, involving the full remit of practice administration, including being a key source of cover for holidays and sickness within the team
- To offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors
- To be a key point of contact for enquiries and complaints from patients, external organisations, third parties etc
- Undertake all necessary administration to ensure that the practice maximises its income from QOF (Quality Outcomes Framework), IIF and enhanced services contracts
- Support seasonal and various health campaigns to increase patient uptake
- Assist in producing information for clinical audit, screening, and chronic disease management in order to optimise recall and review processes
- Be the champion for our digital platform, cancer and safeguarding
- Support the Practice Manager in the reviewing and updating of practice policies and procedures in line with CQC requirements
- Be aware of Health & Safety, Security and Fire policies for practice premises and assist to ensure basic systems are in place.

- Be aware of policies and procedures regarding IT and support in the day-to-day management of IT systems and practices across the surgery. Support the Practice Manager with managing the clinical system, ensuring IT security and IG compliance are always adhered to
- Project management**:

- **Gather data. Support the Management Team in identifying deficiencies in system and in contributing to project management of new systems
- Support the Practice Manager in organising practice meetings including MDT, safeguarding and clinical. Gather relevant data for these meetings and chairing meetings in the absence of the Practice Manager
- Staff training - ensure all mandatory and ad hoc training is completed on time and organise relevant training for per job role

**About You**
- The stamina, patience and good sense of humour to succeed in working in a very supportive but very busy GP Surgery environment
- The ability to work well under pressure as part of a rewarding but highly demanding role
- Experience in general practice administration and reception
- Willingness and drive to develop this new post, in partnership with the practice team - including gaining experience and knowledge suitable to the post
- Problem solving, proactive approach to the role
- Significantly flexible, team working approach
- Good organisational skills
- Kind and patient approach with patients, colleagues and visitors
- Experience of dealing with the public and patients and to handle difficult / challenging situations in calm, measured professional manner

Full training will be provided
