We have a new opportunity for a Community Fundraiser to join us in a part time role based at our Hospice in Cambridge.
Our Fundraisers are part of the communication and income generation team and help raise vital funds for our charity, they work hard to ensure we can continue delivering excellent care to our patients and their families. The role of Community Fundraiser is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with supporters within the community, ensuring a high level of supporter care is given through providing expert guidance on fundraising for the hospice.
Main duties will include:
- Building strong relationships with supporters, inspiring them to organise and co-ordinate a variety of activities in their communities to maximise charitable income
- Developing, recruiting, and managing new supporter groups throughout Cambridgeshire.
- Optimising potential of fundraising events and other community fundraising activities through deepening relationships.
- Attending local fundraising activities and events, as and when required, including evening and weekend activities, to build knowledge of supporter activities and rapport with the supporters or attendees.
- Identifying opportunities and give talks to community groups to increase awareness of the charity.
- Seek partnerships such as charity of the year relationships or event/activity partners
This is a varied role where you will have the chance to make a real difference to our charity You will work in a friendly team and be fully supported to succeed and develop.
The role will be working 31 hours per week, we can be flexible with working patterns and this can be discussed as part of the interview.
Once an initial induction period is complete, we are able to offer hybrid working where part of the week can be worked from home.
**This role has a starting salary of £28,407, with opportunities to progress to £34,581.**
