CHM-1 has been providing accommodation and support to homeless men and women for over 50 years. We are committed to helping our clients achieve their full potential and move forward with dignity.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Community Fundraising Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising funds and awareness to benefit our charity's supported housing service and other projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Raise the charity's local profile and social media presence, including regular press releases.
  2. Work with Trustees and Senior Staff to develop and deliver the charity's fundraising strategy.
  3. Identify and secure additional fundraising opportunities.
  4. Engage with local companies to develop corporate support from the business community.
  5. Lead Community Events Working Group to develop and deliver community events.
  6. Maintain individual donor records in the charity's CRM (Donorfy), ensuring Gift-Aid claims are submitted and donors are thanked in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain Wordpress website and fundraising platforms (JustGiving, GivenGain).
  8. Manage social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  9. Develop the legacy fundraising stream.
  10. Ensure all fundraising is GDPR compliant and complies with the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice.
  11. Be passionate and advocate on behalf of the charity's work.
  12. Network locally to build relationships working flexibly to attend local events.

  • A competitive salary of £30,128 - £33,413 per annum.
  • 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
