This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ongoing success story within Data Protection, Data backup and Data Disaster Recovery working within the core Data Protection team of one of the UK's fastest growing Managed Service Providers.

As part of the ongoing success and expansion of the business we require an experienced 3rd Line Commvault Support Engineer to be a key part of the Backup team.

**About the Role**:
Are you a seasoned Commvault Support Engineer passionate about delivering top-notch technical support? We're seeking an expert to join our Backup-as-a-Service team, offering proactive, engaged support to a diverse range of customers.

**Your Impact**:

- **Be the Go-To Expert**: Serve as an escalation point for second-line issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- **Customer Relationship Guru**: Act as the primary contact for escalated customers, handling all their requests with exceptional service.
- **Troubleshooting Maestro**: Tackle complex backup issues, including diagnosing OS, software, transport and network challenges.
- **Infrastructure Management**: Oversee the tape infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and reliability.
- **Diverse Client Interaction**: Work with a variety of industries and sizes, ensuring first-class support for all.
- **Knowledge Sharing & Expansion**: Maintain and contribute to our extensive knowledge base, keeping customer-related information up-to-date.
- **Cross-Functional Support**: Assist other departments and onboard new customers, providing best practice advice.

**Who You Are**:

- **Experienced Professional**: 4+ years in backup support, ideally in an MSP environment.
- **Technical Savvy**: Deep understanding of backup technologies, data retention principles, and IT fundamentals.
- **Legacy & Modern Skills**: Experience with both legacy backup and tape infrastructure and awareness of cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- **Commvault Specialist**: Advanced knowledge in Commvault and other backup technologies.
- **Multitasker & Quick Learner**: Exceptional at juggling multiple tasks and priorities, with a talent for rapid learning and knowledge sharing.
- **Customer-Oriented**: Outstanding ability to prioritise workloads to meet team targets while delivering excellent customer service.
