We have a great opportunity for a highly skilled administrator to join our busy, friendly and fun HR team.

**The Role**

Our small HR team is very busy and deals with all aspects of HR. We’re seeking a colleague to be based either in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office to deal with the high level of administrative processes for the team. This role forms a key part of our team and you will be dealing with queries from colleagues; preparing documentation for new starts to the firm; undertaking all processes in the employee cycle and maintaining accurate HR records. We want to find someone who can provide an excellent level of service to our clients, both internal and external and bring forward suggestions on how to improve our service. You will be involved in projects across the business which will help you deliver an exceptional HR service as well as extending your knowledge.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing our HR inbox, dealing with administrative tasks relating to recruitment, payroll, HR systems and Law Society procedures.

**What you’ll be responsible for**
- Managing the HR inbox - responding quickly and accurately to staff requests; and/or allocating matters to team members
- All HR-related administration - ie preparing accurate contracts of employment, undertaking pre-employment checks; dealing with reference/mortgage requests timeously; contractual changes; preparing promotion documents; mail merges
- Maintaining SelectHR (HR database) - ensuring all data is input/updated accurately and in live time
- Assisting with payroll inputting, processing and reports on a monthly basis
- Managing absence data - recording daily and ensuring all processes are completed accurately; escalating trigger points to relevant managers
- Supporting our work experience, summer placement and graduate recruitment programmes
- Assisting with Law Society procedures such as advising of personnel changes; accurate preparation of training contracts
- Diary management - scheduling reminders for key HR matters
- Updating the HR intranet with current information/ initiatives
- Supporting ad hoc project work such as drafting policies, GDPR compliance

**What you will need to succeed**
- 1-2 years’ office administration/PA experience, ideally in a professional services environment
- A flexible, adaptable and deadline focused approach to work
- Ability to multi-task on a daily basis whilst ensuring no deadlines or levels of accuracy are impacted
- Previous payroll knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to streamline processes and identify efficiencies
