**Project and Engagement Officer | Connecting Creatively Project**
10.5 hours per week, £24,000 pro rata and £6720 per annum.
Single Parents Wellbeing is a peer led, compassionate, positive and empowering approach to being a single parent with a focus on mental health. This project is in partnership and funded by the Mental Health Foundation.
Connecting Creatively is a project that offers a range of health promoting creative activities aimed at reducing stress and developing emotional resilience through building stronger parent-child relationships and attachments. We will establish a series of creative workshops that children and young people can take part in with their single parents. Parents will
learn alongside their children and model healthy behaviours which in turn can be learned and passed on by the next generation.
- With the Project Development Manager, help develop a programme of workshops that offer creative and experiential activities suitable for parents and children from diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Engage and recruit single parents and/or older children from a diverse range of backgrounds, to become Peer Leads that will support the development and delivery of programme activities in North and South Wales.
- Source a diverse pool of activity facilitators, with lived experience of single parenthood and expertise in one or more of the programme activities.
- Support Peer Leads to access training and development.
- Feed into a programme of facilitation based on a peer support model.
- Liaise with local community groups and organisations to establish a clear cross-referral process that engages single parent families to the project and raises the profile of Connecting Creatively and SPW profile.
- Maintain the effective delivery of creative workshops over the life of the project.
- Maintain project budgets and finance systems and communicate to the Project Manager.
- Monitor performance indicators and project feedback and support the evaluation process, liaising with our evaluation partner, Mental Health Foundation.
- Work with Peer Lead single parents to ensure the sustainability of Connecting Creatively workshops in North and South Wales.
- Demonstrate modelling attachment within your role around workshops and the project.

2. Knowledge and Experience
- Lived experience of single parent family
- Experience of working within a peer-led approach
- Good understanding of attachment theory and trauma infant work
- Experience of working within a parent-child setting
- Experience of working in a mental health and wellbeing capacity.
- Experience of using social media and digital communication including online videos, podcasts etc,.
