An exciting opportunity has opened in our Non-Financial Risk Team Within Santander Corporate & Investment Bank (SCIB) where you will be able to experience everything from Trading to Operations to how Technology, Accounting or HR operates, whilst also dealing with Senior Stakeholders across the business.

In this role you will be protecting San SA capital and reduce volatility of profits by defining, directing, and embedding effective operational risk management policies and practices across all levels in Santander London Branch (SLB) and its third parties.

You will be responsible for following a monthly governance cycle, guiding Risk and control assessment (RCSA) programmes, daily meetings with 1st Line risk team and conducting data analysis for Management Information

**The difference you’ll make**:

- Leading definition and oversight of the RCSA and Scenario Analysis programmes in SLB, co-ordinating development of the annual plan, establishing minimum standards, and validating completeness and accuracy of the risk data
- Monitoring the allocation of Internal Audit Recommendations across SLB and ensuring they are captured in the Operational Risk database (Heracles) and linked to appropriate risks and controls
- Maintaining a communication channel to conduit of information, knowledge sharing and/or requests to and from 1st Line Operational Risk and Corporate SCIB Non-Financial Risk
- Coordinating the governance of the department (agenda, reports, minutes and oversee the implementation of actions)
- Monitoring that the models, policies and procedures owned by NFR are periodically reviewed and updated
- Identifying operational risk topics for deep dive analysis and support execution by the team of those analyses

**What you’ll bring**:

- Understanding of operational risk concepts and techniques, and ability to translate knowledge and experience into recommendations to add value to the business
- Experience in risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) programme and scenario analysis

**It would also be nice for you to have**:

- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organisational skills, together with the ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
- Used to working with, and reporting to, senior management
- Excellent attention to detail

This role is based in Triton Square, London and our current expectation is at least 3 days in the office every week.
