Compliance and Risk Management Intern

About this role

This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of various teams within the UK Compliance Department and Natixis London Branch.

  • Assist with senior managers and certification regime tasks, including regulatory training and exams, and staff movements coordination.
  • Provide ethics training face-to-face for staff employees on personal account dealing, outside business interests, and gifts and entertainment.
  • Maintain induction spreadsheets and records of associated paperwork.
  • Organize and maintain staff training records, including induction training and e-learning compliance trainings.
  • Monitor gifts and entertainment records and personal account dealing.
  • Maintain the compliance page on the intranet.
  • Assist with drafting and updating UK Compliance Department procedures.
  • Produce management information reports to senior management.
  • Assist with controls to identify and monitor non-compliance with French Banking Supervisory Authority.
  • Assist the UK Head of Compliance and the UK Compliance Department in general duties.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or penultimate year student.

  • Good relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure while prioritizing objectives.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and/or risk management.
  • Understanding of the FCA/EU regulatory regime, preferably.
