About the Role

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk and Compliance Counsel to join their team in London. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified lawyer to contribute to the management and smooth operation of the firm.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of risk-focused PQE and extensive knowledge of legal/regulatory compliance gained from a leading, international law firm. Experience within a professional negligence role as a fee earner, or managing legal issues on a global scale is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice to senior management on a variety of legal matters
  • Ensure the firm's compliance with relevant laws and regulations in operational and business activities
  • Answer team-wide queries relating to conflicts, ethics, financial crime, professional standards, etc
  • Mitigate legal risks and implement strategies to aid in future prevention
  • Provide support for potential claims against the firm or its lawyers
  • Procure relevant insurance for the firm in various areas - liaising with brokers/insurers
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding a partner's legal relationship with the firm (changes, departures, etc)
