**Job Role**:Women & Domestic Abuse Casework Coordinator (female applicants only)

**Salary**: £23,240 per year

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Contract type**: Permanent

**Location**:Weymouth

**Additional information**:
On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call

Requirement to work early mornings, and occasional weekends and evenings

As this is predominantly an outreach role, you will need to have the ability to walk up to 5 miles at a time

**The Role**

The successful Women & Domestic Abuse Casework Coordinator will provide comprehensive, holistic needs assessment, support planning, progress monitoring and review for clients with a range of complex social, health and housing need, with a focus on female clients. To provide a lead within Dorset services for good practice in responding to incidents of domestic abuse in the client group and to represent the organisation at external meetings and events relating to domestic abuse.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Complete needs assessment/risk assessment for clients, leading to the delivery of full support plans which meet individual client need. Track and monitor support delivered and its impact through review and use of outcome tools.
- Give clients advice, information and provide an enabling service so that they can access appropriate services.
- Hold a small to medium caseload of female clients, ensuring they have the best possible access to all relevant services, including health, substance use support, housing, income maximisation and any other unmet needs.
- Develop group work with female clients, taking a client-led approach to deliver creative workshops that reflect the interests of the group. To build positive working relationships with local agencies who have a Domestic Abuse remit, to ensure a responsive service for our clients.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs
- A comprehensive knowledge around domestic violence and the effects it has on individuals
- The ability to walk up to five miles at a time, in all weather
