The British Red Cross is a leading humanitarian organisation that provides emergency services and supports vulnerable communities. As a Community Outreach Coordinator - HIU Programme, you will be part of our team that works to improve the lives of vulnerable people in your community.

This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals who access healthcare more than expected. You will work in the community to identify and address unmet social needs that may be exacerbating physical and/or mental health.

We are looking for an experienced Outreach Caseworker to join our team. In this role, you will:

  • Work in the community to identify and address unmet social needs that may be exacerbating physical and/or mental health.
  • Help individuals with complex presentations, including alcohol and substance misuse, mental health, multiple long-term conditions, and adverse traumatic experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to lower stigma within the community and change mindsets and behaviours.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in person-centred support planning and dynamic risk assessment.
