Across the group, we have a shared mission to **lead connected commerce marketing.**

**The role**

As a Talent Advisor at SMG, you will have responsibility across a multitude of tasks within our Attracting Talent pillar of our people plan, helping us to attract diverse talent into the business and ensure they have an exceptional onboarding experience.

We work in a hybrid way at SMG, empowering people to work where is most effective for them, the role, the team & their key stakeholders. For this role, it will be important for there to be a weekly presence in our London office, enabling you to build effective relationships across the business and support our hiring managers & new starters.

**What you'll be doing**

As a Talent Advisor, you will work as part of the Talent function with 360 recruitment duties across a portfolio of roles in your ownership, whilst overseeing the total process across all open vacancies.

We pride ourselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:

- Recruitment_
- Manage end to end recruitment duties from screening, interviewing, referrals, negotiating, to making job offers across a variety of levels and roles for all teams across our business.
- Support with our early career agenda from the working relationship with apprenticeship providers to helping to implement internship programmes.
- Build strong external relationships with our recruitment partners, managing and regularly reviewing our PSL (preferred supplier list) and the performance of our agency partners alongside negotiating and management terms of business.
- Oversee and track recruitment across the group, building out recruitment data metrics to track budget, number of hires, cost vs. savings, time to hire, DE&I etc. and sharing recommendations based on this.
- Work closely with our Marketing team to build our Employer Branding and make recommendations on how to better attract diverse talent to our business.
- Onboarding & Compliance_
- Manage the new starter onboarding process from making them an offer, to drafting & raising their contract, to getting them setup on our internal HR System (CharlieHR), ensuring that all necessary actions are completed for day 1.
- Coordinate our core business onboarding sessions calendar.
- Ensure that new starters have the right to work in the UK and have evidenced this prior to making an offer, or before day 1 of employment.
- Support with the right to work status of existing employees, ensuring that these are diarised & stored on CharlieHR, as well as helping with any communication with employees on this topic.
- Working as part of the People Team_
- Act as a trusted member of the wider People Team, supporting with adhoc queries in a professional, polite & friendly manner, handling scenarios in the strictest confidence where required.
- Engage with the wider team through regular team meetings & catch ups, support with team projects & brainstorming and build strong relationships with your peers.

**What you'll need to have / be**
- A recruitment / talent background either from an agency or in-house environment.
- Proven success in using direct sourcing methods to minimise agency usage across a variety of positions.
- Experience in identifying talent using Tools to differentiate, assess and review talent (e.g. psychometrics, trend performance) to ensure an inclusive hiring process.
- Knowledge on ways businesses can improve diversity & inclusion, to support us in attracting diversity to the business.
- P.s. we try really hard to make sure that we list only essential criteria here, BUT if you think you can do an amazing job, yet don't have every single thing on this list, we'd still love to hear from you._

**The best bits**

Here at SMG we are dedicated to continuously reviewing and improving our benefits package to offer the best that we can for our people. We have a whole page dedicated to our benefits here, but here's some of our favourites...
