**Job summary**:
Companies House is an Executive Agency of the Department for Business and Trade with offices in Cardiff, Belfast and Edinburgh. We have embarked upon a major transformation programme and over the coming years we'll continue to transform our digital services, our people, and the way we operate.

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as our Registrar of Companies for Northern Ireland. This role is one of the three Company Registrars in the UK alongside the registrar for England and Wales and the Registrar for Scotland.

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA), introduces the biggest reforms to Company law in the history of Companies House and sets out specific objectives for the Registrar of Companies - including objectives around seeking to prevent unlawful behaviour and ensuring the accuracy of information on the Company register of Northern Ireland.

As the Registrar, you will enable our operational teams and others to ensure the new objectives are upheld by acting as an expert in your jurisdiction. Working closely with teams across the organisation (in particular, in intelligence and operations) and based within the policy team, you will ensure Northern Irish perspectives form a key part of our decision making and that consistent outcomes are achieved in all jurisdictions.

You will also be central to building and maintaining stakeholder relations within Northern Ireland, to support the delivery of the policy objectives of Companies House and the ECCTA. You will play a key role in the directorate leadership team and act as a visible senior leader in our Belfast office.

The role will be part of the Strategy, Policy and External Communications directorate which is central to the operation and transformation of Companies House. With significant change still to come this is an exciting time to join our brilliant organisation.

At Companies House we’re committed to creating a great place to work for all our colleagues. We encourage our brilliant people to bring their whole selves to work, perform to the very best of their ability and flourish; supporting us to fulfill our vision to becoming the most innovative, open, and trusted registry in the world.
