**Job summary**:
DLUHC is recruiting for new roles to deliver the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for Northern Ireland.
The UK government is managing delivery of the UKSPF in Northern Ireland. As a high profile levelling up fund, with high interest across government, and with Northern Ireland Departments and partners, timely delivery is essential.

The team will work closely with local partners to implement delivery of the NI UKSPF Investment Plan in a way that reflects the needs of Northern Ireland’s economy and society. You will contribute to the successful delivery of the fund, maximising the impact of £127m of funding to support levelling up, promote pride in place and increase life chances for Northern Ireland’s people, businesses and communities.

This role will play a key part in supporting the delivery and implementation of UKSPF, assessing and enabling investments in high quality projects, promoting pride in place and increasing life chances for Northern Ireland’s people, businesses and communities.

**Job description**:
**Key responsibilities include**:

- Working with partners across Northern Ireland on the development of project competitions and commissions for interventions identified in the NI Investment Plan.
- Supporting engagement with stakeholder groups in NI, including the Partnership Group for Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Executive Departments, local authorities, businesses and the community and voluntary sector;
- Supporting the preparation of equalities impact assessments for project competitions and commissions;
- Developing, and undertaking periodic reviews of the systems and processes for project assessment and selection, contracting, monitoring, claims management and assurance;
- Flexibly, as part of a small team, assisting wider UKSPF activity, including policy reviews, reporting and evaluation.
- Flexibly support wider NI Area Team activity, including complementary funding to UKSPF

**Person specification**:

- Essential skills:
- Good communication and influencing skills, to effectively engage with a diverse range of NI stakeholders
- Programme management expertise, for example financial forecasting, profiling and reporting.
- Funding design skills - including the ability to implement and maintain appropriate and proportionate systems and processes for managing a programme
- Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of Northern Ireland politics
- Experience working with NI institutions and stakeholders
- Familiar with preparation of preparing equalities impact assessments
- Local growth policy experience and an ability to support policy development regarding future UK government investment in Northern Ireland.
