A successful and growing business near Neath are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Working as part of a small finance team, this is a crucial appointment to ensure accurate and prompt invoicing of clients, credit control and additional accounting duties.

Accounts Assistant duties
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording and issuing of invoices and payments.
- Full management of the company Sales Ledger.
- Handle communications, information flows and portal uploads with Invoice Credit Providers.
- File related documents accurately and reliably.
- Process journal entries and prepare month end financial reports.
- Assist in statutory returns (VAT).
- Proactively improve processes and use of financial system.
- Assist the Finance team in the preparation of accurate management accounts to a deadline.
- Any other duties as required to assist the Company's administration.

Accounts Assistant person specification
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills when working with internal colleagues and external customers.
- Eager to learn and develop.
- Able to spot potential errors and take remedial action.
