The Funding Service Design team is part of the Digital Directorate in DLUHC, a department which delivers billions of pounds of funding to local authorities, community groups and housing organisations across multiple funds and programmes.

To ensure funding has maximum impact, we're improving the experience of those delivering and receiving our funding, ensuring good governance, performance and risk management, and establishing robust monitoring and evaluation that directly informs future programme design. Key to this improvement work is our commitment to build a new digital system for the full funding lifecycle and, as the Senior Content Designer in the Funding Service Design Team, you'll play a critical role in delivering this commitment.

**Job description**:
**As a Senior Content Designer you'll**:

- work as part of a multidisciplinary team being involved in all phases of the agile product lifecycle
- collaborate with others in the team, you will identify user needs, write and map user stories, and translate these into content
- create, iterate, monitor and manage user-centered content using analytics, user feedback, user research and other sources of information
- prototype different content concepts, building in an appropriate medium be this paper or code
- coach and teach colleagues across the directorate on the benefits of content design, and lead the formulation of appropriate approaches or strategies to have the most impact
- contribute to the content community at DLUHC, supporting other Content Designers through content crits and proofing content for the department, as well as sharing knowledge on content creation tools, user-centered design practices and current trends in content design

**Person specification**:
**As a Senior Content Designer you'll**:

- have significant experience working as a Content Designer in an agile environment
- be able to demonstrate your experience of leading the creation, iteration and management of user-centered content and the formulation of appropriate methods to do this
- have experience working with stakeholders unfamiliar with content design principles to understand their perspectives whilst maintaining content quality
- have experience of influencing and coaching colleagues and stakeholders from outside your immediate team on the benefits of content design
- be able to illustrate a deep knowledge of a variety of content creation tools, user-centered design practices, and you’ll understand in which situations these should be deployed
- have experience establishing content patterns, test and iterate them and have experience prototyping them
