We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing and Communications to lead the development and delivery of our Marketing and Communications strategy.

This is an exciting time for CIMSPA with a new seven-year strategy and multiple business critical projects to deliver. At the heart of that, is the need for a wide range of multi-faceted marketing and communications activity which delivers our engagement and commercial objectives.

This role requires a highly experienced generalist marketing and communications professional with very strong people and budget management skills. You will lead on the development and implementation of departmental work plans which encompass all marketing and communications channels. You will lead the team to ensure that our profile continues to increase, our brand is consistently recognised and that we showcase the incredible impact of all of our work to our varied and broad stakeholder audiences.

You must be confident in managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously, have exceptional analytical skills and have the ability to understand complex audiences and motivations in order to ensure that our marketing and communications sources are used effectively to land our messages with maximum impact.

You will need to be a ‘hands-on’ leader who is very confident with all on
- and off-line communication channels, have significant experience of managing a professional brand and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering results in terms of visibility, impact, growth and commercials.

This role offers flexible hybrid working, enabling our colleagues to divide their time between our head office in Loughborough and working from home.

**Key tasks include but are not limited to**:

- Leading the development and delivery of all marketing and communications activity.
- Providing expert marketing and communications advice to all departments.
- Designing activity and work plans for the department and individuals including setting OKRs and other delivery targets.
- Monitoring, managing and reporting on departmental activity and impact.
- Working alongside other Heads of Department as part of the Senior Management Team to deliver organisation objectives.
- Managing and developing the marketing and communications team.
- Overseeing the creation and delivery of content, campaigns, public and media relations activity, events etc.
- Managing the CIMSPA brand across all activity.
- Managing the Marketing and Communications budget including project budgets.
- Managing relationships with external agencies including briefing and impact monitoring.
- Monitoring and analysing competitors and sector influencers, making recommendations on how CIMSPA can enhance its communication to grow its position as the leading voice in the sector.
- Salary: £43,000 - £55,000 per annum_
