Daventry, United Kingdom West Northamptonshire Council Full time

About the role
This is an exciting time to join our Community South Northants Adult Social Care team The local authority was created in April 2021. We’re at the beginning of our journey of shaping what the Community South Northants Hub looks like at West Northants Council, so there is plenty of opportunity to develop processes, and shape our offering so we can provide the best possible service to our colleagues in our People directorate.

What will you be doing?
Working alongside our colleagues in Community South Northants Hub you’ll support and work with a small team of Business Support Officer to ensure that all administrative tasks are undertake to the highest standard of accuracy and information is shared with the relevant team members in support of the Care Pathway process.

You will be accountable to the Team Manager and directly manage a small team of Business Support Officers. You will also be part of the Management Team and attend meetings with the Team Manager and Principal Social Workers and Care Managers to discuss their requirements from you and the Business Support Team. You will need to have a current Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle to enable you to attend external meetings and support care staff when they undertake Protection of Property visits.

About you
You don’t need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but you will need experience of supervising a team and have experience of dealing with personnel issues as this is the central to the role.

You’ll need to have a solutions driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges

Ideally you will have previous experience of using Microsoft Office and with experience of arranging, supporting and minuting meetings. You will be able to smoothly manage IT and clerical processes whilst being able use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box’. You’ll use your great attention to detail to ensure all records are maintained accurately and where appropriate support improvement in administrative systems.

If you’ve got knowledge of Health & Safety in an office environment, that’s great, but not essential; being adept at building relationships with key hiring managers and quickly developing an understanding of the role of the Adult Social Care Team and the support they require are most important.
