**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our Finance team as our Purchase Ledger Clerk and contribute to the continuous improvement environment we are proudly developing.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be a key member of the transaction team processing all invoices received into the agency via our procurement system, ensuring that they meet agency guidance and are processed within the governments KPI target. Alongside this you will be updating the finance systems exchange rates and ensuring the agencies travel data is posted in a timely manner.

**Other Responsibilities include**:

- Processing of invoices via agencies procurement system
- Generating Purchase Orders ensuring information is accurate
- Liaising with suppliers and setting up Purchase Ledger Accounts
- Updating exchange rates on agencies finance systems
- Processing of travel data in a timely manner
- Chasing invoice approvals and hitting the Prompt Payment Target
- Monitor the shared mailbox answering queries with attention to detail

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who has exceptional communication skills and can express themselves in a confident and concise manner with colleagues at all levels.

Excellent organisational skills are required, and you will be able to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise your work to maximise productivity and achieve all deadlines. You will be highly adaptable and flexible, adjusting to the requirements of the role.

You will have experience Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) and have good attention to detail while working at pace.

**Additional Information**:
A minimum of 40% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace.
