St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a HR Advisor to join their team. This role is based in Taunton or Yeovil and we are happy to offer hybrid working options. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum.

**What can you expect to be doing?**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent HR Advisor to join our small but busy HR team.

Working in a true generalist capacity, you will have a varied workload that includes:

- Start to end Employee Relation case management including investigations and disciplinaries,
- Payroll verification,
- Contract management,
- Opportunities to get involved in project work outside of day-to-day operational support.

Building and establishing credible and effective relationships across the organisation is a key part of this role and you will work closely with line managers to positively influence the way they support and manage staff.

Under the guidance of the HR Manager and Senior advisor you will put your professional expertise into practice by providing first line support on a wide range of issues including absence management and performance.

**Responsibilities as our HR Advisor will include**:

- Managing a varied Employee relations Caseload caseload, ensuring that advice and guidance is provided in line with policy, employment law and legal terms and agreements
- Building Management capability through coaching and advice.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of staff, managers and any other relevant organisations.
- Ensuring best practice, consistency, shared learning and ideas for continuous improvement from a HR perspective.
- Working alongside the HR Manager to develop, plan and deliver education and training in relation to personnel and management topics including: recruitment and selection, managing sickness absence, performance management, and appraisal.
- Acting as a co-ordinator with the Payroll Department and advising staff on payroll issues
