Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, are currently recruiting for a Head of Talent Acquisition. Based in Northamptonshire, the role covers the Social Housing and Social Care sectors and will involve the management, development, and guidance of a team sourcing staff from the UK and internationally.

The role is a full-time, multifaceted position, covering advertising, stakeholder relationships, strategy, TUPEE, recruiting to the UK market from abroad, EDI, employee brand, people management and ethical talent acquisition.

The Head of Talent Acquisition will be expected to:

- Oversee the internal recruitment team, providing advice and guidance on new methods, overcoming challenges and showcasing innovation
- Ensure sponsorship of Level 2 Internationals and similar meets all relevant policy
- Utilise and guide on the use of Social Media, to include LinkedIn
- Hold stakeholder meetings whilst taking into account partnership working and TUPEE processes, including building relationships with local colleges and grad-schemes
- Accurately utilise systems including the internal ATS
- Share knowledge of the Social Care and Social Housing markets to further guide the team and improve processes
- Take ownership of EDI and Neurodiversity policy to improve hiring practice
- Build strong internal relationships with hiring managers
- Create a culture of speed and efficiency through the hiring process to ensure top-level staff aren’t lost
- Develop and showcase short, medium and long-term business strategies

The below is essential to secure the Head of Talent Acquisition position:

- Previous experience in Talent Acquisition
- Knowledge of the Social Care or Social Housing spaces
- Management experience
- A strong understanding of regulation and policy around onboarding
- Working knowledge of Apprenticeships, Sponsorship and recruiting from abroad
- An enthusiastic management style with a focus on bringing people with you
