The post holder will work as part of a multi disciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive administrative management of cancer patient referral to treatment or discharge.
They will need to be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as demonstrating the ability to work independently as required. Being able to communicate effectively demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills with a wide range of departments, teams and agencies is essential. You must also have organisational skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
Working closely alongside the clinical teams the MDT coordinator will help identify patients who are required for discussion at the weekly MDT meeting. The MDT coordinator is responsible for collating the necessary information for each patient to be presented and discussed on the agenda. The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to the patients pathway of care. Working alongside consultants and other disciplines of staff.
