Office Coordinator, Edinburgh

Edinburgh, United Kingdom Ooni Full time

At Ooni, we want to help everybody experience the joy of making great pizza, and we’re looking for an Office Coordinator based at our office at Edinburgh Park (aka Lomond House) to help us realise our dream.

This is an in-person role where you’ll be expected to spend 4-5 days per week working from our Edinburgh office.

**A Little About Ooni**

There’s nothing quite like a great slice of pizza(apart from maybe two slices.)

Way back in 2012, we created a brand new outdoor cooking category with our first portable wood-fired pizza oven. Now, the Ooni lineup includes gas, electric and multi-fuel pizza ovens, all of which bake amazing Neapolitan pizza in just 60 seconds. Yum.

We sell Ooni pizza ovens, accessories and groceries around the world and have an expanding (and totally awesome) global Ooni user community who love our products and use them to make epic pizza for friends and family.

**What you’ll do**:

- Be Ooni’s smile You will greet visitors to our office and make sure everything’s taken care of to keep them safe and happy while they’re with us.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Order office supplies. Surprise We eat a lot of pizza so flour and toppings are a must-have in the office. Sure, we need Post-Its and toner and stuff too but if there’s no mozzarella, there will be riots.
- Make dough for pizza meetings and prep a brilliant cooking experience (don’t worry if you’re not a fully fledged pizzaiolo/la right now - we’ll train you up).
- Keep the office looking sharp This will involve doing the day-to-day tidy ups and organisation, through to managing our external contracts for services like cleaning and equipment maintenance.
- A disproportionate amount of your time will be spent trying to make sure all the coffee machines work. We know that previous experience here is a long shot, so just consider this your pre-warning.
- Assist our Executive Office team with prep for board meetings, external visitors and other events - whether it’s room set up, organising catering or managing timings on the day.
- Assist our People and Facilities teams with administrative support.
- Security and Health and Safety stuff: act as the first point of contact for all Health and Safety on site, undertaking first aid training and generally being our responsible grown up. You’ll work with our Facilities Manager to ensure all issues are dealt with appropriately.
- A bunch of other stuff that doesn’t really fit in a job description. Could be tracking down the local ice cream van and persuading them to turn up with 99s for everyone. Sometimes you’ll get requests like “can you find a life sized cardboard cut out of Jeff Goldblum for the meeting room?”*.

You’ve got some big old shoes to fill here from our current office coordinator - luckily for us she documented a lot of her work on TikTok so you can get an idea of what to expect (spoiler alert: it’s a lot of snacks)
- this is a real thing which has, weirdly, happened more than once. Be prepared.

**We’re looking for someone that’s**:

- Proactive with great initiative
- Skilled at multitasking
- Happy to work on your own with the support of your wider People Team (we are a lovely bunch of people, we promise)
- Super friendly with world-class communication skills
- Pragmatic in their approach to problem-solving
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail

**Why Ooni**:

- Go to YouTube and search “We are Ooni”. We’re super proud of our culture and think you’ll love it here too. Here are some other reasons:

- Work for an employer that cares about your wellbeing We’ve got an employee assistance programme which includes on demand coaching and therapy sessions
- 35 days of paid time off per year, plus an additional 5 week sabbatical when you’ve been here for 5 years
- £500 every year to spend on your passion - whatever that may be
- £1000 to spend on Ooni products each year, plus 50% discount on any other Ooni stuff
- We’re all about giving back. That’s why we offer 5 paid days to volunteer each year
- Continuing Education - we encourage our employees to use our learning platform to grow here at Ooni
- Great pizza every single day if you want it. Yep. Every single day. And we’ll teach you to become a pizza pro

Take a look at our website to learn more about our products, culture and values. If you like what you see, send in your CV with a cover letter to tell us why you want to come on board. We really like nice letters - especially ones that are personalised just for us
