Who are we?
The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service is an NHS service for all ages in Brighton and Hove. The service is delivered by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with YMCA DownsLink Group, and Southdown. We offer a variety of primary care support and psychological therapies to the community of Brighton and Hove, and work with both children / young people and adults. Our interventions are diverse and evidence based, ranging from guided self-help to psychological therapy, brief mental health interventions, workshop and skills-based groups. We work closely with our Service User Steering Group to refine and improve the service that we offer.

What are we looking for?
We want to appoint a substantive Service Improvement Lead to drive the development and ongoing delivery of service-wide improvement projects which will support effective, efficient transformation of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service.

We provide clinical services from SPFT sites, GP practices and third sector venues across the city, whilst our administrative base is at Preston Road. this is a hybrid role, working both remotely and from our main base on Preston Road, with at least one day per week working from our base. You will lead the service improvement team and work across the whole service, and with SPFT colleagues to deliver projects.
Your focus in this role will be the development and delivery of priority service improvement projects to ensure the ongoing and effective transformation of the service.
You will need;
- tenacity, professionalism, and the ability to resiliently drive through significant change and innovation
- Significant experience of managing and implementing change programmes that are service or company-wide and of using Quality Improvement methodologies
- An open and consultative approach to leadership which involves all relevant stakeholders internally and externally
- An ability to manage and mitigate risk whilst driving forward significant change and innovation

Scope & Authority
The post holder will work autonomously to agreed objectives in accordance with the Trust’s appraisal process. There will be regular monitoring and review meetings - objectives will be set, but the post holder will determine in conjunction with the leadership team and other relevant teams/colleagues how results are best achieved.
The post holder will be responsible for project planning and driving forward the NHS Talking Therapies expansion programme, as well as contributing to other service improvement programmes, associated business cases, service level agreements, contractual obligations, etc.
You will need to closely liaise with key stakeholders and partners connected directly and indirectly with service delivery across the locality.
You will also provide leadership and guidance to those operational and clinical colleagues supporting service improvement projects, and assist in the delivery of their plans to ensure consistency. You will ensure the monitoring and upward reporting mechanisms associated with mobilisation/service improvement plans to a range of stakeholders, including commissioners.
