Purchasing and Planning Administrator

Our key client and global engineering company, is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Administrator, with also some purchasing duties. A very interesting and varied role.
They are someone who has experience with planning in a manufacturing plant, or at least someone who understands production processes or similar. The individual should also have SOME experience with purchasing, however this knowledge need not be so deep. as the majority of the purchasing in inter-company, so no need for negotiations, etc.
Below are some details of the role.
**Daily**:
Review daily Open Sales files to identify requirements for any new PO’s and Work Orders needed
Release PO’s/WO’s based on open customer sales orders
Update system following receipt of order acknowledgements from manufacturing sites/suppliers
Respond to enquiries from Customer Services regarding shipping, expedite requests and any other enquiries
**Weekly**:
Review and upload Shipping Mode files from manufacturing sites - to determine the shipping method for each PO (express/air/sea)
Weekly reports - Updating Customer Services with Unconfirmed SO’s, chasing manufacturing sites/suppliers for Unconfirmed PO’s & reviewing Past Due PO’s
Upload invoices/shipping details from manufacturing sites to the PO’s in the system
Balance the system to postpone/expedite SO’s dependant on availability
Attend Planning Meeting with manufacturing site in India (via Microsoft Teams)
**Bi-weekly**:
Planned PO’s - raising PO’s based on forecasts/safety stock and future customer demand
**Monthly**:
Review stock agreement files to update Customer Services/Sales Team
