**About Our Client**:
My client who are in Banbury are based in an ideal location with on site parking and access to great transport links. it offers the opportunity for their colleagues to make a difference in the local area. It is a fast paced and busy environment with different challenges daily.

The key responsibilities for the HR assistant are:

- Being a first point of contact for employees and managers, providing information and advice on a variety of general HR matters in line with current policy and good practice, and referring more complex queries to an appropriate colleague if necessary.
- Assist with the operation and monitoring of HR practices and procedures.
- Preparation of vacancy approvals, advertisements, job descriptions, person specifications and shortlisting as required.
- Preparation of contracts of employment, resignations, changes letters, maintaining the risk register / redeployment scheme, recruitment clearances etc.
- Maintaining accurate personal records and files in line with GDPR and other guidance.
- Process daily incoming workload from post / inboxes so that urgent items are prioritised, including training requests.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data.
- Co-ordinating, recruiting and processing payment of CDC's 'Staff Bank' staff.
- Responding to payroll queries and supporting the team leader with payroll administration.
- Co-ordinating training courses and learning and development activities as requested by the HR BP and OD team.

**The Successful Applicant**:
The successful HR assistant will be:

- Used to dealing with more than one issue at once.
- Experience of working with confidential information.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and willingness and commitment to expand areas of knowledge.
- Literate to interpret policy and legislation.
- A good understanding of IT systems and solutions, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience of working within a HR and/or Payroll service.
