JOB TITLE: Operational strategy lead

LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol, leeds

SALARY: National: £73,262 +

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our hub locations.

As part of our team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and refine operating models and other strategic projects to promote business objectives and enhance efficiency and agility. As the Operational Strategy Lead you'll support the implementation of our IP&I Strategy, through operating model changes and strategic projects, including the prioritisation of resources and funds.

You'll also be responsible for:

- Strategic Analysis and Design: Conduct thorough assessments of current operating models, identifying areas for improvement and alignment with organisational goals, to enhance agility, scalability, and overall business performance. Keep abreast of industry trends, leading practices, and emerging technologies to suggest continuous improvements and optimizations for the operating model.
- Prioritisation: Support and suggests prioritisation requirements across the IP&I business, including implementing and evolving a pan-business prioritisation framework
- Cross-functional and Third-Party Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organisation to understand their processes, challenges, and objectives, fostering strong relationships to facilitate effective collaboration. Manage suppliers (3rd Party), providing oversight and managing underperformance.
- Implementation Planning: Create plans for implementing new operating models, ensuring a smooth transition and mínimal disruption, including communication strategies, training programs, and stakeholder engagement. Identify blockers to delivery and where possible mitigates / resolves, calling out to Performance Director, where required.
- Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of strategy and the business as a whole, continuously monitoring and refining as needed.
- Matrix Model: Develops and/or delivers a plan for a specific area of responsibility and delivering required outcomes by leading others either directly or through a matrix model.

- Strategic Problem solver: Ability to see the big picture and align operating models with overall business strategy. Project management experience.
- Collaborative: An excellent teammate who can efficiently work with team with a diverse team. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical Approach: Comfortable working with data and drawing relevant insights. The ability to translate sophisticated concepts into actionable strategies.
- Outcome focussed: Motivated to achieve tangible, measurable outcomes. Shown experience in strategic planning, business analysis, or operations management.
- Project management experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
