**The vacancy**

**_Moore Barlow is seeking a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join our Southampton based Finance team. The role is offered on a fixed term contract basis to the end of April 2023 (with possible opportunity for further extension)._**

**Day to Day**:
As Purchase Ledger Administrator, you will work as part of a small team based out of our Eastleigh offices. Our offices are modern, with an on site subsidised restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. The space is great for collaborative working or to take a well-earned break. In this varied role, you will be responsible for ensuring that invoices for goods and services are processed in an accurate and timely manner. You will review invoices received, ensuring that suppliers are set up appropriately (with adequate due diligence checks in place to ensure the validity of the supplier and payment requested), entering data into our finance system and seeking final authorisation from our teams.

Invoices are usually received into a shared mailbox, and as such you will work as a team to action all requests as they arise. From here, you'll process payment via BACS or Cheque, as well as ensuring regular standing orders and direct debits are undertaken as planned. In addition to external supplier payments, you'll also ensure that employee expenses claims are processed.

You'll have a great eye for detail - you'll be able to spot irregularities and be able to investigate these thoroughly before a payment is made. You may also be involved in other duties such as regular variance reporting, month end processing and much more.
