The post holder will work under the direction of the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to deliver administrative support within the tissue viability team. He/she will be the first point of contact for the team and will address any queries or redirect queries for the team as necessary.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
GENERAL
- To work under the direction of the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist; this may at times mean not working under direct supervision.
- Plan and organise own workload under the direction of the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist
- To receive and distribute incoming mail to staff, re-directing as appropriate.
- To deal sensitively and effectively with telephone calls and take messages and pass to the relevant members of staff in the Department.
- A good working knowledge of Outlook and its systems i.e. excel/word/access.
- To undertake general administrative duties, including general correspondence, filing, photocopying, scanning and inputting/processing of data, resolving and flagging issues accordingly.
- Maintain an efficient and accurate administration system, to include databases to support the compliance with national pressure ulcer standards.
- As and when necessary and following specific guidelines, complete, prepare and distribute by hand confidential documents and files to other departments within the hospital site.
- Word processing of reports and minutes.
- Help maintain adequate stationery stock levels and re-order as and when necessary.
- Filing, scanning printing duties.
- Adhere to all Trust policies and procedures in relation to Confidentiality and Data Protection for sensitive information, in particular patient data.
- Work as member of the team.
- Producing documents for the department such as correspondence, posters, leaflets, presentations etc.
- Manage the calendars of the Tissue Viability Team - including booking appointments and co-coordinating diaries for maximum effectiveness of resource use
- Arranging meetings and training as required, to include the booking of venues and equipment if necessary
- Keep accurate records of attendance to training sessions and meetings and log on to ESR.
- Manage and update the Tissue Viability share point site and social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter)
- Distribute contact lists within the team as they become available.
- Contacting divisions across the trust (Hospital and DNs) regarding the location of NPWT Units
- Job requisitions regarding repairs.
- Arrange confidential waste collection
- Support the development of improved administrative systems within The Tissue Viability Team.
- Assisting with organising events such as “Stop The Pressure Day” and ensure that staff across the trust are aware of these events.
- Knowledge and skills in patient administration system such as EMIS, Nexus, Maxims, HISS, Safeguarding and ability to extract information for the tissue viability team.
- Assist team with daily tasks on the Ullysses system (for example opening Incidents).
- Undertake any other duties as may be directed
